the aminals

I think this is one of my favorite pictures ever because not only are Margot and I giving high-five's to each other, but I was able to maneuver my right hand to capture it with my camera. It's a very Michelangelo-esque shot if you ask me....
enjoying the sunlight together
Margot licking Owen's face
this is what contentment looks like

working hard

Proof that I'm not the only person who works in our yard...

think he is saying "why are you taking a picture of me?"

i love roses

Let me say that again - I love roses - I love growing roses - but most of all I love cutting off the blooms and displaying them in my house. I'll show you more of that later on...

This rose bush is just getting out of hand - I've trimmed it down a bit since taking this picture and I've also used wiring to support it better.

And this is my newest rose bush. Aren't these colors just lovely, happy colors? I really am pleased with the way this one is turning out because I'm getting a great mixture of pink-based, peach-based, yellow-based and orange-based blooms. Still need to continue feeding and shaping it, but it's coming along nicely.

surprise basket

Jarrod got me a sercy (aka surprise) from ACE last weekend -- a beautiful hanging basket of hot pink New Guinea Impatiens! Nice work, Jarrod...nice work.

so much to post...

FYI - I really have a ridiculous amount of pictures on my camera right now of my yard alone, so to spare you from this (and to prevent this blog from becoming the world's most boring blog) I'll only post the cream of the crop...or at least what I deem to be blog-worthy.

Margot says "Get ready for a picture-posting frenzy!"

easter '09

Yeah, I know I don't usually post photos of things that aren't outlined in the mission of my blog (see line at top of page) but we got some great shots this year and I wanted to share them. If you want to see the full set of images click here.

Even her Easter outfit couldn't stop my Grandmother from doing yard work
